Q: How many years have you been working at North Country Mechanical Insulators?

A: As of last month, 23 years

Q: What has been your favorite project so far?

A: Kenny and I worked on a water treatment plant in Newport; it was all black rubber Armaflex. We even made patterns for the fittings on the entire thing. It was really cool and fun job.

Q: What are three interesting facts about yourself?

A: I have a birthday celebration for Ozzy, my husky retriever. He has one white eye and one brown. He gets a cupcake every year. He is 7 years old.

I wanted to be an astronaut when I was little. I love everything about space. The only thing in school that ever interested me was science.

I love documentaries, I could spend all day watching different documentaries.

Q: Do you recall any funny moments at work?

A: I was working with Joey and Jason at a Friendly’s many years back. We had the extension ladder leaned up against the wall. We didn’t know that that was where they had the grease dumpster and as Jason was halfway up the ladder, it started sliding down. It had stopped thank God but he was okay. Later on that day, Jason had come up with two buckets of ice water and said “Hey they are really friendly here!” which we thought was hilarious because we were at Friendly’s.

Q: What are your top 3 life highlights?

A: My 2 kids; Penny- she is my soulmate, if she wasn’t here, I might not be here today; and working at a job for 23 years, being the longest employed at one job in my family.

Q: What is the most important thing that you have learned in the last 5 years?

A: Think about your retirement. Start young. Even $10 or $20 here or there when you’re 25 will save you in the future.

Q: What TV show or movie, are you embarrassed to admit that you love?

A: Reba- Penny got me into it. Reba is a riot!
